This particular pet portrait was painted with acrylics on a 16" x 20" box canvas. I was able to spend time with the cats prior to painting and was provided several photos of the cats from which I chose the appropriate poses and then combined them digitally. The background and sofa were created from several images I had found in my vast photo references to give a more regal atmosphere. 

The commission process in general after the initial first contact is an open dialogue either by email, phone or text/chat exploring the vision in mind. I usually have several questions involving the subject matter and the budget envisioned for the project.

After reviewing and assessing the complexity, size and medium wanted for the project I will quote the commission price and require half of the amount prior to beginning with the understanding that it is non-refundable as it is used to purchase materials etc. The last half is paid once the painting is completed and approved.
